How does teletherapy work?

Surprisingly well. When you schedule an appointment with me I’ll send you instructions on how to connect. Some things to consider when doing teletherapy: Where the session will take place? Do you have a reliable internet connection? Are you in a quiet, private location? Do you have earbuds or a microphone you would like to use? Is your device fully charged?

Do you work with kids?

Matt works with clients age 11 and up. Andi works with clients age 13 and up. Andi also works with parents both as a coach and therapist to help them address concerns with their young children like difficult behaviors, lowering household stress, discipline that works, anxious children, improving connection, and blending families.

Does my insurance cover family or couples counseling?

I don’t know, each individual insurance plan is different. Some plans do cover these services and many do not. You can always call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask what kinds of behavioral health are covered in your plan. We can also discuss this further during a consultation.

How can I figure out my out of pocket costs for therapy?

If you plan on using your insurance benefits, it is up to you to find out what is covered. Here are questions to ask a representative when you contact your insurance company:

  • Do I have mental health coverage? What is my coverage?

  • Do I have a deductible to meet? What is my deductible? This is the amount you’ll pay out of pocket before insurance starts covering care.

  • Do I have a co-pay? What is my co-pay?

  • Maximum out of pocket/stop loss amount per year?

  • Maximum number of sessions per year?

We offer free, 20 minute, online consultations.
